The food was excellent, in this small and intimate restaurant. Everyone there seemed to be in for the night, all courses aperitif and desserts, it becomes expensive. The owner talks about the food and his wife is upstairs cooking. Limited number of tables so you need a reservation

Highly recommend this place. It's a small and cosy restaurant with a lovely owner and a very typcical Portugese menu with delicious ingredients. As appetizers we have the croquettes; both the jamon iberico and northsee shrimp ones. Both were delicious: For the mains we followed the owner's advice (he's an octopus lover). We have the grilled octopus and shrimp dish, incredible taste. Wash it all away with a delicious Portugese wine and you'll have a smile on your face for the rest of the day.- Noise level

Wonderful place with charming owner. Managed to screw up my booking and we turned up on the wrong day. Owner was superb, gave us the last remaining table (a table for six for two of us) and couldn’t have been nicer. Food was of a very high standard and very good value for money.

The owner is very friendly. He serves by himself. So Don't be late for your reservation time.

Absolutely fantastic dinner. The food is genuine and of superb quality and character. The service is sweet, homey and attentive, as if in a private dining setting. Older couple runs the restaurant as if you are their esteemed private guests. For larger groups (more than 4) it is a bit cramped.

The welcome was super warm! The staff was very hands on, explaining all the dishes they have and gave some recommendations as well. The ambience gave this feeling of being in Portugal that came with some Fado music (I assume) based on my remembrance from Lisbon. Food was delicious. Worth coming back and highly recommended. 🍲🍲🎉🎉❤️❤️🍾🍾

Drink: besides the above-mentioned good white wine, green wine is also nice to try. I saw the other table tried Porto whose color looks charming. The drink that is not met my expectation is the Portuguese sparkling which is not bubbling.
Service: superb
Ambience: small and cozy
Highly recommend to call for a reservation.Portuguese-inspired food, but elevated to a different level. Amazing flavor combinations in the complex dishes nicely presented, along with great, informative and amicable service.

I love this gem of a place! The atmosphere is cosy and authentic, it really tells you the story and spirit of the restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing and it makes me happy every time. The owner makes every visit special with his passion, kindness and attention. It’s small and always full so booking is absolutely necessary.

An amazing dining place at a stone throw from La Chasse, Etterbeek. I have already been there several times and each time it's a pure delight. The food is delicious (my favorite is the grilled octopus) and rich of flavors. Add a glass of wine to it and you will have a perfect match.
The restaurant is super cozy and Maria and Domingos surely pour their hearts into catering about their guests. I am so glad that the place survived the lockdowns and is as warm, colorful and full of tastes as before. You cannot help but feel yourself at home on entering Au cor de chasse and enjoy the intimacy of a very special meal. And if you're like me, it will certainly become a favorite place to share special moments with friends and family.

Update: Jan 2022 This is a true gem, immerse yourself in Portuguese friendliness, cuisine and wine for a few hours. I discovered this time 'turbot with chanterelles' yummy! --- Little Portuguese Restaurant, fresh food 🍲 excellent service with nice wines. Fish excellent and so is the meat which I tried tonight for the first time. One of my favorite escape to Portugal in Brussels escapes a true little gem in Etterbeek
